Weekly Photo Challenge: Masterpiece

ordinationI visited Hsi Lai temple on a special day. Monks were being ordained. I was allowed to watch from the steps and that’s when I took this photo. Can you believe this temple is located in Southern California? Looks more like China, doesn’t it?

This photo is absolutely wonderful, the colors, the landscape behind, the roofs … There is also something very peaceful about it. I love it!

    • Thank you very much for the compliment on my photo! I agree that there is a sense of peacefulness emanating from it…I feel it every time I visit that temple. As ornate as it is, the calm vibe of the monks manages to reach visitors…apparently even through a photograph. 🙂
